Hold the Line: Support

Help with the Android game Hold the Line: how your progress is saved, settings, online leaderboards, deleting data and updates.

Contact us

Tell us the game (Hold the Line), your app version (shown in Settings), your phone model and what happened. A screenshot helps. We aim to reply within 3 working days. Privacy requests and grievances are answered within 30 days at the latest.

Please never send passwords or payment details: the game has no accounts and no purchases, and we will never ask for them.

Frequently asked questions

Where is my progress saved?

Only on your phone, in the app’s private storage. There are no accounts and no cloud save, so we cannot see, restore or move your progress. If Android backup to your Google account is on, Android may restore it on a new phone.

I reinstalled the game or cleared its data and my progress is gone

Uninstalling the game, clearing its storage or using Settings → Reset progress deletes the progress saved on the phone, and we have no copy to restore. Android’s device backup is the only way to bring it back.

How do I change the age I entered?

Go to Settings → Privacy and change your birth year. The answer stays on your phone and is never sent to us. The game uses it to keep younger players safe, for example by keeping online features away from them.

How do I turn online leaderboards on or off?

Online leaderboards are optional and off by default. If they are available on your device, switch them on or off in Settings → Privacy; the switch explains what is shared (a generated name like “Brave Fox 12” and your scores). Turning them off stops sending scores. To remove what is already on our server, delete your online data (next question).

How do I delete my online data?

In the game: Settings → Privacy → Delete my online data, then confirm. Or email us your player ID, shown on the same screen. Full steps: Delete your data.

Does the game show ads?

No. Hold the Line shows no ads and contains no ad SDK, analytics or tracking.

The game says I need to update, or an update failed

  • "Update available" is optional: you can close it and keep playing. It appears at most once a day.
  • "Please update" means your version can no longer work properly. Tap the button to open Google Play and update.
  • Small updates (levels, fixes) download in the background and apply the next time you start the game. If something looks wrong after one, close the game fully and open it again.
  • No internet? The game keeps working with its last downloaded settings.
  • Still stuck? Email us with your app version and phone model.

How do I turn reminders off?

Reminders are local to your phone and off until you allow them. Turn them off any time in the game's Settings or in Android's settings (Apps → the game → Notifications). They never contain ads.

Does the game need the internet?

No. You can play offline. The internet is used only for settings, updates and, if you switch them on, leaderboards.

Can I buy coins or items?

No. There are no in-app purchases. Everything is earned by playing and has no real-world value (see the terms of use).
